Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Castlerea Prison, a closed, medium security facility for adult males.
The appointed psychologist will collaborate with the senior psychologist and multi-disciplinary team to assess and intervene with individuals referred to the IPS Psychology Service in relation to mental health difficulties, offence-specific needs, and other presentations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the senior psychologist and multi-disciplinary team to assess and intervene with individuals referred to the IPS Psychology Service
* Provide evidence-based group and individual interventions, including assessment and intervention planning
* Work collaboratively with community agencies involved in the support and resettlement of individuals leaving custody
* Consult with multidisciplinary colleagues on client care and provide education and training as required
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
* Eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society or the British Psychological Society
* Postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognized by the Psychological Society or Counselling Psychology recognized by the Psychological Society
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience in addressing emotional, mental health and/or offence-related difficulties with a forensic or inpatient population
* Experience of providing consultation, education, guidance and support to multidisciplinary colleagues
