The role will include:
Core Responsibilities
* Develop detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to coordinate design decisions, schedules, and workflows across all stages of a project.
* Prepare statutory consent applications, tender packages, construction documentation and schedules.
* Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve technical issues.
* Ensure designs comply with Irish planning, building, fire safety, health & safety regulations, and sustainable building standards.
* Provide guidance on materials selection, innovative construction technologies, and sustainable solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
* A degree or diploma in Architectural Technology (or related discipline).
* 2- 5+ years' post-graduation experience in architectural technology or technical design. Knowledge of and experience of Irish Building Regulations and design standards, and other laws applicable to design and construction is essential.
* Registration or membership with professional bodies like RIAI, CIAT, or CIOB is advantageous
Skills and Competencies
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
* Strong drawing, spatial awareness, and preferably 3D modelling capabilities.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Evaluate technical challenges on site, perform risk assessments, and recommend practical solutions.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and design professionals.
* Ensure design accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality deliverables.
