Job Overview

\

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Navan or Dublin.

\

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience across road maintenance and civil works projects, including bituminous surfacing, asphalt, and infrastructure delivery.

\


Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing cost estimates and tender documentation
\
2. Support procurement and subcontractor coordination
\
3. Help monitor project costs and prepare progress reports
\
4. Ensure compliance with EHSQ standards and framework agreements
\
5. Collaborate with senior QSs and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
\
6. Preparation of detailed quantity surveys and measurement reports
\
7. Support the management of project budgets and cash flow projections
\
8. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors and engineers
\
9. Development of strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
\
10. Other ad-hoc duties as required by the role
\
11. Management of data collection and analysis using various software tools
\
12. Quality assurance and control of all deliverables
\
13. Attending meetings and contributing to project discussions
\
14. Participating in the development of new business opportunities and tenders
\
15. Development of scope statements, work plans, and schedules
\
16. Delivery of high-quality services that meet client expectations
\
17. Provision of accurate and timely information to support decision-making
\
18. Reporting on project progress and performance against key milestones
\
19. Providing input to continuous improvement initiatives and process improvements
\
20. Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures
\
21. Supporting colleagues and other team members where necessary
\
22. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations
\
23. Compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
\
24. Professional development and training as necessary to perform the job duties

25. Work in accordance with the established quality standards and best practices
\
26. Maintenance of accurate records and files
\
27. Any other tasks as deemed necessary by the line manager
\
28. Contribute to the development of the organization through suggestions and ideas

29. Report to the Line Manager regarding any incidents or accidents
\
30. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and proposals as required
\
31. Attendance at training and professional development courses as needed
\
32. Meetings with clients, managers, and other stakeholders

33. Review and implementation of lessons learned from completed projects
\
34. Monitor and analyze project data to inform future project decisions

35. Attend industry conferences and seminars to stay up-to-date with latest developments

Required Skills and Qualifications

\

The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field. They will also possess strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

\

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, as is good communication and time management skills.

\

12 years of relevant experience is preferred, but not necessary.

\

Irish or EU civil projects, especially roads and runways, would be highly desirable.
