Vhi Care@Home have a full time permanent vacancy for the role of Quality, Safety and Risk (QSR) Co-Ordinator supporting the Hospital@Home and Midwife Support Service Nationwide. The Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Coordinator is a crucial member of our Care@ Home team, responsible for managing our quality framework by identifying, assessing, and managing potential risks, incidents, reportable circumstances and complaints associated with patient care, operational processes, and regulatory compliance. This role involves working collaboratively with clinical staff, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Good communication and interpersonal skills are very important for this role to engage with a complex array of networks, groups and individual practitioners. Being able to work on your own initiative, is key, partnered with good team working capability and excellent written and oral communication skills. Benefits: Excellent company Pension Health Insurance Death in service Hybrid working environment Income Protection Role Purpose Monitor, collate, report and trend incidents, complaints and reportable circumstances (occurrences). Present a consolidated view to the team on a weekly/monthly or quarterly basis as required. Ensure incidents, complaints and occurrences are managed as per policy and report compliance rates to the management team. Support with policy design and implementation. Ensure procedures align to Health & Wellbeing policy, propose changes to working practices because of new guidelines or legislation. Develop a structured plan for document management on Q Pulse for Care@Home, ensuring all PPGS are up to date, reviewed, revised and circulated as per policy. Upload documents on Q-pulse, submit for approval and ensure they are circulated to correct copyholders and acknowledged by all copyholders. Report to the management team trends on compliance related to document management. Suggest areas for improvement based on trends noted, provide education and support to frontline staff on incident, risk and complaints process. Ensure the service is complaint with Vhi complaints handling process. Lead on JCI Accreditation process for Care@Home and manage the re-accreditation cycle in conjunction with Health and Wellbeing QSR Team to ensure that key milestones are achieved, and the quality plan remains on track over the cycle. Develop an accreditation (JCI) action plan in conjunction with QSR team. Development and monitoring of the quality and safety programme for any expansion/ new developments of the Care@Home services. Education & Experience Relevant clinical qualification and background such as Nursing, Physiotherapy etc with a minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience. Proven experience in quality improvement, healthcare risk management & patient quality and safety, (minimum 12 months). Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in using various software tools for planning, documentation and reporting. Have excellent problem solving and root cause identification skills. Is flexible and adaptable; able to work in fluid with a willingness to learn. Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values Skills and Abilities Qualification in quality improvement/ risk management, patient safety, or healthcare quality. Qualification in project management Knowledge of compiling stats, audit surveys & tracers.
