Scope of Role:
Deliver best-in-class performance through professional, competitive, and efficient buying processes, controls, and systems.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
* Responsible for procurement to pay process from Sourcing to invoice clearance
* Supplier sourcing and negotiations
* Conducting bid analysis and processing of purchase orders
* Liaison with suppliers and accounts payable team regarding invoice queries
* The preparation of regular reports on purchasing activities
* Maintain Procurement Schedules with project teams and planning function.
* Negotiate vendor alliances.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as sites and suppliers
* Maximise value opportunities through adherence to specific supplier agreements
* Assist buyers and data management in further developing low-value high-volume product categories
* Take the lead on materials purchasing for specific projects as assigned by purchasing manager
* Assist buyers and purchasing manager in eliminating wasteful processes
* All other duties associated with that role
Essential Criteria
* A third-level qualification preferably in supply chain or other related discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar role in the construction, engineering or manufacturing sector.
* Proven experience working with ERP systems
* Strong knowledge of Tool and Plant for construction.
* Experience in a similar role within an engineering or construction company.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience
