Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Quality and Compliance Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality management systems, compliance frameworks, and internal controls to ensure the organization meets regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. This role ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
Key Responsibilities:
* Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions, being aware of emergency procedures including the evacuation and fire precaution procedures.
* Working with the senior management team to develop and maintain quality and compliance strategies, KPI's and policies for the business.
* Maintaining the Quality Management Systems (IMS, EN1090, ISO 9001, ISO 37301, etc…).
* Monitor and interpret regulatory requirements to ensure company policies and practices are up to date.
* Oversee and conduct regular internal audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews to identify gaps and recommend corrective actions
* Lead quality assurance activities, including process validation, documentation control, and performance monitoring.
* Act as primary contact for external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory authorities.
* Develop and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of quality and compliance initiatives.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, R&D, Sales/Marketing, Procurement, Operations, HR, legal, and senior management to embed compliance into business processes.
* Investigate and resolve non-conformances, incidents, and customer complaints in a timely manner.
* Prepare reports for executive leadership and regulatory agencies as needed.
* Develop and implement a quality road map for the site ensuring ongoing continuous improvement.
* Monitor the Product Compliance Register ensuring all products and systems sold by the company are present and comply with relevant standards/regulations
* Collaborating with fellow managers in the development, implementation and ownership of a strategy plan for operations

Education and experience:
* 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or risk management, preferably in [industry – e.g., pharmaceuticals, manufacturing].
* Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Strong communication and leadership abilities with experience influencing cross-functional teams.
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferred, roles with an engineering bias are advantageous.
* Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
* Professional certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus.
