Building Surveyors | Dublin | €35,000 – €50,000 DOE
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking ambitious and motivated Building Surveyors to join its growing Dublin team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established practice delivering projects across a broad range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, retail, and heritage buildings.
You will be involved in a diverse workload, providing professional building surveying and technical advisory services to both private and public sector clients.
The role offers excellent exposure to project and professional work, with clear progression opportunities and support towards continued professional development and chartership.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior surveyors, project teams, and clients, contributing across all aspects of Building Surveying including contract administration, technical due diligence, defect diagnosis, dilapidations, refurbishment, and conservation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake building inspections and surveys, preparing detailed reports and recommendations
Carry out condition surveys, acquisition surveys, measured surveys, and defect investigations
Inspect and advise on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of a wide variety of property types
Prepare specifications, schedules of work, tender documentation, and technical reports
Assist in the delivery and administration of refurbishment and construction projects
Manage contract administration duties and monitor project progress on site
Prepare and negotiate schedules of dilapidations and advise on landlord and tenant matters
Conduct technical due diligence surveys for acquisitions and disposals
Support the coordination and delivery of portfolio instructions for key clients
Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, and Health & Safety requirements
Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Requirements
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Strong understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Regulations
Good knowledge of construction methods, building pathology, and technical detailing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Office and surveying/reporting software
Full driving licence
