The RoleThe City Archivist is a professional management position and is assigned responsibility for the direction and management of Dublin City Archives, the Civic Regalia, the Civic Portrait Collection, the reading room and associated services. The role involves leading the archives service, preserving the collections, managing resources, staff, programmes, and providing archive services to the public, and to Dublin City Council.The City Archivist is a member of the libraries' management team and reports to the Dublin City Librarian. As part of this leadership role, the Archivist is expected to contribute to the strategic direction of the library & archive service, playing an active part in the development and implementation of forward-looking initiatives.
