Job Description Summary
RTR Electronics Ltd are seeking an SMT Technician to join our rapid growing team. The role will involve monitoring, maintaining and adjusting equipment for PCB manufacturing.
Responsibilities:
* Operate SMT and test equipment to produce SMT boards according to standardized workmanship.
* Program, debug and maintain SMT pick and place machines.
* Inspect solder joint and component mounting using the naked eye and/or magnification.
* Create soldering profiles for SMT reflow equipment.
* Check machine readiness and conduct continuous monitoring of machine operations.
* Ensure the right components are used in production.
* Check the conformity of products by performing basic quality auditing, testing, and troubleshooting functions.
* Clean the SMT machine, tools, and equipment.
* Implement identified improvements.
* Support area leads and operators.
Requirements:
* Third Level Electronics qualification .
* Experience in operating surface mount machines (pick and place, reflow oven etc.)
* Great attention to detail.
* High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate optimally with management and colleagues.
* Team-player, proactive, committed to providing high-quality work able to operate various automated assembly equipment.
* Ability to work under own initiative.
* IPC 610 certification an advantage.
* Use inspection & measurement equipment (such as 10x lamps, 7x-30x microscopes, X-Ray to monitor quality levels and record data on SPC charts.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
* Ability to work overtime and/or flexible hours when required.
