Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Reinsurance Specialist to join our client's reinsurance function. This is a broad, hands-on role within a small team environment, offering exposure across the full reinsurance lifecycle and the opportunity to develop long-term within a specialist area of insurance.
Your Role
* Support the end-to-end management of the reinsurance process, from placement through to ongoing administration and reporting
* Assist with underwriting-related reinsurance activity and liaise with brokers and reinsurers as required
* Contribute to reinsurance accounting, returns and related documentation
* Support governance, compliance and internal reporting requirements linked to reinsurance
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across underwriting, finance and risk
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the reinsurance function
* Develop technical knowledge of non-life reinsurance structures and market practices
Your Skills
* Previous exposure to reinsurance, underwriting or a related insurance discipline
* Understanding of reinsurance fundamentals and how reinsurance operates within an insurance business
* Strong attention to detail and willingness to work across both technical and administrative elements of the role
* Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and progress within reinsurance
* Ability to work effectively within a small, collaborative team
* Insurance qualification or progress towards one is advantageous
* Analytical mindset and comfort working with data and reporting
