Multicrete Agri-Products Ltd are currently recruiting for a full-time Quality & Health & Safety Manager to lead and drive our Quality Assurance function and oversee Health & Safety within our yard. This is a key role within our business, requiring a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of concrete materials, cube testing and laboratory processes, as well as a proactive approach to maintaining and improving workplace safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and driving quality assurance across all aspects of production and operations.
* Conducting laboratory testing, including material and concrete cube testing, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
* Engaging with clients to agree quality standards, visual limits and deliverables prior to commencement of works.
* Addressing customer quality issues and complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
* Preparing and maintaining quality documentation, including Quality Plans, handover records and performance reports.
* Leading and coordinating both internal and external auditing processes.
* Identifying non-conformances, carrying out root cause analysis, and ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
* Managing Health & Safety in the yard, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
* Carrying out risk assessments, implementing safe systems of work and driving a safety-first culture.
* Providing quality and health & safety training and coaching to team members.
* Reporting regularly to senior management on quality and health & safety performance, including test results, trends and improvement initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a quality management role.
* Knowledge and experience of concrete materials and cube testing within a laboratory environment.
* Experience in managing or actively contributing to Health & Safety within a workplace.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
* Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict deadlines.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Capability to work effectively in a busy yard and factory environment.
Desirable Criteria:
* Background in construction, civil engineering or concrete manufacturing.
* Experience of integrating quality, health & safety and environmental systems.
* Previous involvement in external audits and certification processes.
