Orange Recruitment are looking for a Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career, someone who's grown beyond graduate level and is focused on progressing toward a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.

Responsibilities: Supporting the procurement process by evaluating specialist subcontractors and making informed recommendations to the Project Director.
Assisting in drafting and reviewing subcontract agreements to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Managing subcontractor valuations and final account settlements.
Monitoring design changes and advising the team on cost impacts in real time.
Identifying opportunities for value engineering and helping the team deliver smarter, cost-effective solutions.
Preparing monthly valuations for submission to the Employer's Representative, and managing the negotiation and agreement of same.
Engaging in internal cost reporting processes including value reconciliations, turnover forecasts, and project financial outcomes.
Taking an active role in final account preparation and submission.
Advising the Project Director on contractual matters and cost management throughout the project.
Building strong working relationships across the team, a key part of delivering successful project outcomes.
Requirements: A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in a quantity surveying role.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present reports and commercial information.
Demonstrated experience working with subcontractors and clients, with a strong commercial track record.
Practical problem-solving abilities and an understanding of key forms of contract in the construction industry.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
Exposure to software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or Cubit is a plus, though training can be provided.
Familiarity with digital take-off and measurement tools is advantageous.
