We are currently seeking Home Support Workers Locum to work one-on-one supporting families in their own homes and in the community in the below areas:
Mallow Co. Cork
Glantane Co. Cork
Fermoy Co. Cork
Kanturk Co. Cork
Newmarket Co. Cork
Charleville Co. Cork
Mitchelstown Co. Cork
Requirements
QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or a relevant field (Full award) or have completed Care Skills (5N2770) OR Care of the Older Person (5N2706), Personal Effectiveness (5N1390) & Infection Prevention & Control (5N3734)
Experience of working with children/adults in the field of intellectual disability
Full manual driving licence and access to your own transport.
A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them maximise their quality of life.
Responsibilities
To be responsible for general wellbeing of the adult/child while in your care.
To implement the adults/child's individual Programme plan/care plan as appropriate. Instruction from Multi-Disciplinary Team will be given as required.
To assist with clothing, feeding, toileting and general hygiene as required.
To ensure all interactions with the adult/child and his/her family is approached with dignity and respect.
To respect the privacy of the adult/child at all times.
Ensure adequate reports are kept as requested.
To promote a positive awareness of disability in the community.
To report all Safeguarding concerns to Designated Officer and line-manager.
