Role Title:Clinical Nurse Manager II: Clinical Practice Facilitator (Nursing Practice Development Unit) Job Reference Number:001330 Closing Date:Sunday, 15th June 2025 Purpose of the Role: The post of Clinical Practice Facilitator has been developed within St Jamess Hospital as a key element of its Human Resource strategy. The principal purpose of the role is to provide clinical practice support, direction and guidance for the nursing team in the general medical surgical wards. The post holder will also have responsibility for promoting nursing practice development initiatives and facilitating implementation of evidenced based practice in collaboration with all grades of nursing staff. The Clinical Practice Facilitator will be required to work cross site and support offsite clinical areas affiliated with St Jamess Hospital campus. Nursing team and nursing refers to Clinical Nurse Managers (CNMs), Staff Nurses, Health Care Assistants (HCAs), Candidate Nurses, Pre-Registration Nurses, 4th Year Nursing Interns. Required: Registered General Nurse with The Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register. 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting or relevant clinical area within the last 7 years. Demonstrate management experience throughout the last 2 years. Evidence of continuous professional development Educated to Degree/Postgraduate Diploma/Higher Diploma or equivalent level. Demonstrate I.T. skills including excellent keyboard skills. Experience in teaching and assessing the nursing and HCA team throughout the last 2 years. Experience in conducting clinical audits. Proficiency in venepuncture and cannulation and ability to demonstrate same. Desired: Management course. Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
