A well-established law firm in the Conveyancing sector is seeking a seasoned Legal Secretary to join its team on a 12-month maternity leave contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing dictations and producing accurate, well-formatted documentation
* Supporting conveyancing transactions from initial instruction to completion
* Preparing, editing, and finalizing contracts, closing documents, and related forms
* Handling Land Registry and Registry of Deeds filings
* Maintaining and updating files on case management systems
* Liaising with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors
* Managing correspondence, diary scheduling, and general administrative tasks
* Maintaining organized electronic and paper filing systems
* Assisting with any other administrative needs within the team
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Legal Secretary in Conveyancing, possess strong dictaphone typing skills with excellent accuracy, be proficient in case management software, demonstrate confidence in handling high volumes of work, exhibit clear communication skills, maintain a professional manner, display strong attention to detail, and adopt a proactive approach.
