We are working with a leading global manufacturer of high-performance control valves who are looking for an Area Sales Manager to work across the South of England and Ireland.
With a global turnover of £60m, they are poised for further growth with a range of valves servicing sectors such as automotive, aerospace, waste & recycling, chemical, and medical devices. The business collaborates with several Blue Chip companies.
Role: Area Sales Manager (South of England & Ireland)
Salary: up to £70k + bonus + benefits + tools to do the job
Location: South of England & Ireland
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and technically skilled sales professional responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening their presence in the region. Responsibilities include developing existing client relationships, securing new business, and providing technical support to meet client needs.
The territory has a solid existing infrastructure, with active customers and high-value prospects in the UK & Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and exceed sales targets within your territory, focusing on control valve solutions.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a sales pipeline.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted technical advisor.
* Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
* Collaborate with internal teams for seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
* Prepare and submit accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
Key Requirements
* Proven success in technical sales within control valves or related industrial sectors, from manufacturing or distribution backgrounds.
* Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate complex solutions. Engineering degree or equivalent (HNC, HND).
* Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working autonomously across a large territory.
* Willingness to travel extensively across the South of England and Ireland.
