The Role
As a Design Manager, you will be baseout of their Head Office and will support the delivery of residential schemes across the client’s Irish development portfolio, overseeing architectural design work produced by external consultants to ensure alignment with design standards, market expectations and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with planning, technical, commercial and sales teams, reviewing design outputs at all stages and identifying opportunities for optimisation. The role also involves managing design briefs, maintaining design templates and guidance documentation, contributing to the selection of external finishes and products, and supporting stakeholder agreement on key design decisions.
Required Background
Degree in Architecture or a related discipline7+ years’ professional experience in residential design; developer experience advantageousStrong knowledge of housing and apartment design guidelinesExperience reviewing and coordinating external design consultantsAbility to balance design quality, customer requirements and construction practicalityGood understanding of current planning policy and building regulationsProficiency in CAD or Revit, SketchUp (or similar 3D software) and InDesignStrong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levelsFull driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
