Vickerstock is partnering with a leading national residential construction company to hire a seasoned Health & Safety professional.
The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of the company's comprehensive safety management system, contribute to project success, and report directly to the Health and Safety Manager.

About the Role
10. Work as part of the management team to ensure provision of a safe and productive work environment
11. Seek to improve the standard of Health & Safety within the company management system and on specific sites
12. Monitor and enforce the implementation of the Health & Safety management system
13. Identify site-specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in the site documentation and on the site
14. Ensure the site folders and statutory records are being maintained
15. Assist site management to comply with statutory Health & Safety requirements
16. Assist Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement risk assessments and improvements to the safe systems of work
17. Assist Health & Safety Manager and site management to coordinate the safe systems of work for contractors and ensure strict adherence to site rules
18. Enforce site-specific disciplinary procedures
19. Conduct Health & Safety auditing on site and address non-conformances
20. Complete accident and incident investigations
Requirements
21. Minimum of 4 years' experience in managing safety systems in construction
22. Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
23. Able to manage Health and Safety on-site using their own initiative within the scope of the management system
24. Strong relationship builder and ability to leverage key relationships across the full spectrum of project stakeholders and statutory bodies
25. Experience in managing risk and implementing control measures
26. Able to work and build strong relationships with contractors from various backgrounds and trades
27. Ability to chair and deliver Health and Safety meetings and presentations
