This is an exciting opportunity to join an established contractor. The successful candidate will join the Murphy Water engineering business within the Automation & Controls Department reporting to the Automation & Controls Team Manager.QualificationsCandidate must be a qualified Electrician with a L6 National Craft Certificate, (Electrical or Instrumentation).Role DutiesReporting to the Automation & Controls Team ManagerOnsite validation and commissioning of PLC based electrical control systems and instrumentationElectrical equipment onsite commissioningChecking and testing electrical and instrumentation MCC panelsChecking electrical and instrumentation MCC panel wiring schematicsCoordinate with all electrical and mechanical personnel to achieve project deadlines.Fault diagnostics and modification to existing electrical control and automation systems.Factory Acceptance Tests on control panels to ensure compliance with approved documentationSite Acceptance Tests and system sign off with client representative.Monitoring and optimisation of instrumentation, PLC’s, and electrical control systems.Preparation of technical specifications and supervision of sub-contractors.Generate controls documentation including FDS and I/O lists to meet project specifications.Checking electrical and instrumentation control panel wiring schematics.Responsible for ensuring all electrical and instrumentation installations on projects assigned are installed in accordance with relevant standards.Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the company procedures observing proper health and safety.Skills / ExperienceMotivated, self-starter with excellent communications skillsMinimum 5 years electrical experience in an industrial / process electrical commissioning role.Strong technical problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelPLC & HMI programming experience desirableExperience within the Water / Wastewater industry a distinct advantageWhat Murphy Offer In ReturnCompetitive salary and benefitsDiscretionary annual bonus and annual salary reviewAbove market rate contributory pension scheme available from day one27 days annual leave per annumGenerous Private Healthcare AllowanceDedicated and continued investment in your professional development.Other Murphy benefits include retail discounts, cycle to work scheme etc.Murphy is unable to employ anyone who does not have the legal right to live and work in Ireland.If you have any queries, please email HR@murphygroup.ie.Screen readers cannot read the following searchable map.
