Job Summary:Located on O'Connell Street, Dublin, JMK Group and Holiday Inn Express are recruiting a Reservations Agent to join our growing teamThis is an exciting opportunity, and the Reservations Agent is responsible for overseeing the reservations duties, ensuring smooth operations in processing guest bookings, and optimizing occupancy levels. This role involves managing individual reservations, inquiries for guest rooms or meeting rooms, managing Group reservations, handling escalations, maintaining reservation systems, and collaborating with other departments to provide exceptional guest experiences.Key Responsibilities:Supporting the Reservations Manager for the full Groups function in Hotel quotes/contracts/billing/rooming lists.Oversee the daily operations of the reservations department to ensure efficient and accurate booking processes.Monitor room availability, rates, and booking trends to maximize occupancy and revenue.Assist in setting and adjusting room rates and inventory in coordination with the Reservations Manager.Process reservations via phone, email, online platforms, and direct bookings while ensuring data accuracy.Anticipate guests' needs to enhance their experience and maximize satisfaction.Assist in achieving hotel and departmental targets related to mystery audits, IHG Heartbeat, and quality evaluations.Handle guest inquiries promptly and efficiently, ensuring all concerns are resolved to their satisfaction.Actively gather and report guest feedback to drive continuous improvement.Uphold the hotel's mission and objectives in all activities.Attend all mandatory and departmental training sessions.Foster a positive work environment, maintaining team morale and motivation.Identify and report any departmental challenges to the Reservations Manager.Promote a culture where ideas and feedback are welcomed and implemented.Maintain effective communication with management and other departments.Attend departmental meetings as required.Ensure guest requests for room allocations (VIPs, IHG Rewards members) are met.Process commission payments and group reservations accurately.Maintain an organized reservation backup system.Work closely with reception to resolve guest billing queries.Process daily no-shows and ensure revenue is recorded accurately.Update rates on Hotelkey PMS/Concerto as required and monitor internet booking platforms to remain competitive.Identify and recognize regular customers, ensuring personalised service.Communicate VIP arrivals to relevant departments in advance.Liaise with sister hotels to maximize revenue opportunities.Skills and Qualifications:A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Reservations Agent is desirable.Previous group reservations experience is desirableProficiency in hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, SynXis, HotelKey, or similar).Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.Reliable, punctual, and with a positive attitude.Excellent knowledge of Microsoft OfficeExceptional customer service skills.What We Offer:Global Hotel Discounts – Enjoy exclusive rates at over 6,000 IHG hotels worldwide.Competitive Salary – Rewarding you for your hard work.Cycle to Work Scheme – Supporting a sustainable and active lifestyle.Refer a Friend Program – Earn rewards for bringing great talent to our team.Career Growth & Development – Work with a renowned brand and build your expertise.Engaging Work Culture – Participate in company events and activities.Employee Assistance Program – Supporting your well-being.If you are passionate about working in a hotel environment and want to be part of a dynamic team at Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre, we would love to hear from youSkills:Communication Microsoft Excel Reservations Hotel managementJob Type: Full-timePay: €27,000.00-€32,000.00 per yearBenefits:Bike to work schemeEmployee discountOn-site parkingWork Location: In person
