Project Quantity Surveyor – Sligo
Location: Sligo (with flexibility to work from Maynooth office when not site-based)

A well-established Irish main contractor is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of designated construction projects. This role is suited to a disciplined and technically strong QS who can manage all aspects of project cost control, reporting, and contractual oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management and Cost Control
* Carry out all quantity surveying duties, including measurement, procurement, cost monitoring, cost control, reporting, preparation of interim payments, and final account settlement.
* Prepare internal subcontractor payment certificates.
* Maintain comprehensive project variation folders.
* Review and monitor project commercial plans and flag deviations promptly.
Coordination and Reporting
* Liaise closely with internal project teams to ensure timely and accurate commercial reporting.
* Work under the guidance of a Contracts Manager or Managing QS to ensure compliance with company standards.
* Assist with risk identification and cost mitigation strategies.
Candidate Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, with post-graduate experience preferred.
* Strong technical understanding of construction details and methodologies.
* Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Cubit or Buildsoft is an advantage.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
* Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
