The Clinical Nurse Manager II is responsible for quality assurance and overseeing high standards of clinical practice.

Key duties include managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting initiatives to enhance nursing team skills and capabilities.

The role involves ensuring effective communication within the clinical area and providing professional and clinical leadership to drive improvements in patient care delivery and team collaboration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care using an evidence-based approach, providing a high level of professional and clinical leadership, and maintaining compliance with safety protocols and policies.

The position also requires close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.

To succeed in this role, candidates must have 5 years of post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting, with at least two years within the specialty or related area.

Candidates should possess the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

A Peri-operative Qualification, Post Graduate course, or relevant education course would be desirable. Experience with Electronic Health Records is also advantageous.

Preceptorship experience is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities:

* Manage patient care to ensure the highest professional standards using an evidence-based approach.
* Provide a high level of professional and clinical leadership.
* Quality assurance within their designated area(s), as well as overseeing and maintaining high standards of clinical practice.
* Managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting practice development initiatives.
* Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care.
* Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
