Job Summary
DID requires a Stock Process Controller to support the day-to-day management of stock across the retail network, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely reconciliations, and compliance with inventory procedures. Reporting to the Group Inventory Analyst, this role provides a key link between stores, warehouse, and head office, helping to maintain optimal stock accuracy, reduce discrepancies, and improve product availability for customers.
Responsibilities And Duties
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Monitor stock movements across retail locations, flagging and investigating discrepancies.
* Assist with scheduled stock checks, reconciliations, and cycle counts including travel to sites on a scheduled basis.
* Support the Group Inventory Analyst with reporting and analysis of stock data.
* Ensure compliance with company policies for stock handling, transfers, and returns.
* Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records within the stock management system.
* Liaise with store managers, inventory and warehouse teams to resolve stock issues in a timely manner.
* Provide reporting and administrative support for supplier returns, damaged goods, and stock adjustments.
* Contribute to process improvements to reduce shrinkage and improve stock control efficiency.
* Support the planning and execution of periodic full stock takes.
Skills & Competencies Required
* Ability to prioritize and proactively manage workload and solve problems.
* Good time management and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, with good communication skills.
* Proven working experience in an inventory administration environment, experience with stocktaking and stock management including reporting.
* Use of email is a requirement, knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Numbers a distinct advantage.
* Leaving Cert or equivalent level of education.
* A full, clean drivers licence as travel will be a requirement of the role.
Preferred Additional Skills
* Experience with Microsoft Business Central or other Warehouse System.
* Forklift licence would be an advantage (reach or counter-balance).
* Driving licence (B1).
Working Conditions
Work in an office environment with travel to retail or other locations as required. Some manual handling required. Occasional evening and/or weekend work (limited and scheduled).
Travel between offices/locations will be required.
