The primary objective of this position is to drive profitable growth in full truck load/less-than-truck load operations through seamless execution, quality improvements, and productivity enhancements, based on effective carrier management.
The scope of this role includes the entire full truck load/less-than-truck load operations within the country and all functions/stakeholders contributing to its development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead strategic operations to achieve national targets for full truck load and less-than-truck load services
2. Align operational goals with business objectives through collaboration with senior leadership and performance tracking
3. Maintain service excellence by ensuring sla compliance and driving continuous improvement across full truck load and less-than-truck load operations
4. Optimize processes through standardization and automation to boost dispatcher efficiency and team productivity
5. Develop high-performing teams via coaching, training, and fostering a culture of operational excellence
6. Manage carrier relationships by implementing selection and performance strategies for subcontractors and logistics partners
7. Support commercial growth by partnering with sales teams during tenders and onboarding to ensure smooth service delivery
8. Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and contribute to scalable operational standards
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, or a related discipline
* Demonstrated expertise in managing full truck load and less-than-truck load operations across multiple european markets
* Proven experience overseeing domestic transport operations, including route optimisation, cost control, and service level management within the irish market
* Strong command of logistics it systems, particularly tms platforms, as well as advanced proficiency in microsoft office suite (excel, powerpoint, outlook, word)
* Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to drive operational efficiency, cost savings, and service improvements
