Financial Accountant:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including statutory and management reporting, financial controls, and day-to-day accounting operations.
The successful candidate will also work closely with the Senior Company Accountant, providing support across management accounts, audit requirements, process improvement initiatives, and a variety of ad hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities:
General ledger account reconciliation
Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing and management
Bank account management and reconciliation
Preparation of accruals and prepayments
Journal entry posting and review
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Tax compliance and return preparation, including Intrastats/VIES
Year-end audit preparation and liaison with external auditors
Grant preparation and reporting
Preparation of financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making
Ad hoc financial reporting as required
Participation in cross-functional projects and process improvement initiatives
Skills and Experience Required:
Recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Ideally a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience, preferably within an industry environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Knowledge of SAP B1 would be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
A proactive and professional attitude, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under deadlines
