This role involves supporting the inspection, maintenance, and improvement of electrical panel systems across multiple operational facilities nationwide.
This is an excellent opportunity for electricians with industrial or utility experience, particularly those familiar with water and wastewater treatment environments, to work on a long-term infrastructure framework.
Role Overview The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and carrying out minor upgrades to electrical panels and associated control systems across multiple facilities.
The role requires strong attention to safety, compliance, and technical quality, ensuring electrical systems meet national standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities Conduct routine and scheduled inspections of electrical panels and control systems in accordance with industry and regulatory standards Perform fault finding, diagnostics, and minor repairs on control panels, Motor Control Centres (MCCs), and instrumentation systems Carry out preventive maintenance and inspection tasks to ensure reliability and operational safety Complete detailed inspection reports, documentation, and compliance records for each site visit Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and industry best practices Liaise with site managers, client representatives, and internal technical teams to coordinate site access and maintenance activities Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of electrical equipment where required Maintain tools, testing equipment, and PPE in good working condition Support continuous improvement initiatives and system upgrades when necessary Requirements Fully Qualified Electrician with valid Safe Electric registration Minimum 3 years experience working with industrial or utilities electrical systems Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, instrumentation, and industrial control systems Experience working within industrial plants, utilities infrastructure, or process environments Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to sites nationwide Excellent communication, reporting, and documentation skills Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team Desirable Experience Experience working in water or wastewater treatment facilities Confined Space Entry and Manual Handling certification Knowledge of ATEX-rated environments and equipment Familiarity with SCADA systems, telemetry, or industrial monitoring systems Valid CSCS card or equivalent safety certification Whats on Offer Competitive salary: €50,000 €63,500 per year Travel allowance and nationwide project exposure Company Vehicle/ Petrol card /tag card/company phone Opportunities for training, certifications, and career progression Supportive team environment with a strong safety culture Long-term involvement in a major national utilities infrastructure programme If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply or contact Linked Skills Expert Talent Solutions for further information.
