The Organic Development Chemist will play a pivotal role in the Process Development service Team.
This position will provide critical chemistry expertise and technical support for the chemical development of processes in various stages, including laboratory, kilo laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing plants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical and laboratory support for the introduction of new products, from route development through scale-up and implementation on plant scale.
* Support development projects in the lab, encompassing route scouting, route development, proof of concept, and process robustness studies.
* Propose modifications to the synthetic route to address complex chemistry issues for both laboratory and plant processes.
* Execute the synthesis of compounds to required quality standards, including acquiring and interpreting analytical data.
* Expand scientific, technical, and drug discovery knowledge through reading peer-reviewed scientific literature, attending conferences, and relevant training.
* Author or contribute to regulatory submissions, patents, and other internal documentation pertinent to the role.
* Ensure effective communication with clients and other teams to facilitate the transfer of projects between departments.
Candidate Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in Chemistry with a significant Organic Chemistry component.
* 2-3 years of experience in synthetic/Organic Chemistry (industry or research institution preferred).
