Job Description
Senior DevOps Engineer, part of the IES (Industry Engineering Services) will design, build, and maintain the Linux-based server, storage, and infrastructure environment that powers IES data center operations. In this role, you will lead initiatives in system architecture, automation, performance optimization, and capacity planning to ensure scalability and reliability. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by developing automated solutions and collaborating on server and storage design enhancements.
What You’ll Bring
* Hands‑on experience in Linux and Windows system administration or DevOps‑related roles.
* Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, with a strong motivation to advance automation capabilities.
* Solid understanding of patch management using YUM and WSUS, and configuration management principles.
* Experience with server virtualization and cloud platforms—OCI experience is a plus, though strong interest in cloud technologies is essential.
* Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting, or a demonstrated ability and curiosity to master them.
* Ability to collaborate effectively within a global, cross‑functional team environment.
Extra Edge
* Industry certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, Microsoft Windows Server, or cloud fundamentals (e.g., OCI Associate).
* Interest in adopting CI/CD pipelines, enterprise monitoring solutions, and DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise‑grade Oracle Enterprise Linux and Windows Server environments.
* Administer core Windows services including Active Directory, Group Policy, and automate routine tasks using PowerShell.
* Implement and improve automation for server provisioning, configuration management, and patching using tools like Terraform or Chef.
* Develop and maintain automation and monitoring scripts using PowerShell and Python.
* Conduct performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system tuning across Linux and Windows platforms.
* Support hybrid workloads by managing enterprise tools across on‑premises and OCI environments.
* Manage and optimize OCI resources such as compute, networking, storage, IAM, and DevOps services.
* Deploy and manage containerized and cloud‑native applications using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) and OCI‑native DevOps tools.
* Respond to system outages, perform root cause analysis, and lead resolution efforts across multiple layers of the technology stack.
* Support global operations across time zones, participating in on‑call rotations to manage incidents and ensure continuous service availability.
