Description
Staff Nurse - Paediatrics Inpatient Ward
Reference: RHM-05-25-98
Location of Post: Regional Hospital Mullingar
There is currently one permanent, Part-time 0.83 WTE / 33 hours Staff Nurse vacancy in the Paediatric Inpatient Ward. A panel may be formed from this campaign to fill current and future vacancies, both permanent and specified purpose, for full-time or part-time roles.

The Paediatric Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the nursing care model practiced in the relevant setting. They will provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for service users.
Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants must:
1. Be registered in the Children’s Nurse Division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by Bord Altranais or be eligible for registration.
2. Have the clinical and administrative capacity to perform the role effectively.
Note: Post holders must maintain annual registration with Bord Altranais.
Additional requirements include:
1. Full competence and health to perform the duties of the role.
2. Good character.
Candidates should demonstrate professional knowledge and experience across the scope of paediatric nursing practice, including clinical interventions, patient observations, ward management, and clinical governance, risk, health & safety. Specific post requirements will be outlined during the expression of interest stage.
