The Community Impact Network (CIN) is a national network focused on building the collective leadership and capacity of organisations to meet the needs of older people in Ireland.
Community Impact Network offers Networking, Training, Technology, Resources & Best Practice to support the membership base. We develop connections and partnerships between statutory, community and voluntary services which enhance services for older people.
Community Impact Coordinators are field based, and travel is required within the community. A clean driver’s license and own car is mandatory.
Responsibilities
* Deliver training online and in person to the staff and volunteers of befriending and community groups across Ireland.
* Deliver training to befriending and community groups on site where requested.
* Assist in the reformatting of existing ALONE training for befriending and community groups to an online platform.
* Provide one to one support and guidance to befriending and community groups in the setting-up and coordination of befriending services.
* Handle and respond to training requests and referrals through the Community Fora and other referral routes.
* Schedule training sessions with befriending and community groups in a timely manner.
* Identify training and support needs of befriending and community services and create and deliver a training and support plan to these groups.
* Assist the Befriending Network Ireland and Community Coordinator in other areas to training and support delivery to befriending and community groups.
* To design and deliver bespoke training to befriending and community groups upon request.
* Develop and build relationships with relevant local services and agencies.
* To keep records of training and supports delivered to befriending and community groups on Salesforce CRM.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated passion for improving the lives of older people and commitment to ALONE’s mission.
* Problem-solving skills, focusing on efficient needs assessment and resource allocation.
* Excellent communication abilities (both written and verbal), fostering partnerships and negotiating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in utilising technology and data management systems, enhancing service efficiency and reporting accuracy.
* Good organisational and multitasking skills, with a solution-focused approach to complex challenges.
* Keen attention to detail, enabling accurate record-keeping and effective service monitoring.
* Enthusiasm for setting and achieving SMART targets that maximize the positive impact on older individuals.
* Self-starter with a capacity to work well with stakeholders
* Must have full clean driving licence and own transport.
A background in older people-related fields is not required.The key factor is a strong alignment with ALONE's mission and the ability to efficiently coordinate services and address challenges faced by older people.
