Meath)
Role and responsibilities
Development and presentation of multi-faceted tender proposals across the Controls product range, including EPMS (Energy Power Monitoring Systems), Distribution and Changeover Control Panels, Data Centre Cooling Application Controls, and BMS (Building Management Systems) Controls.
Analysis of tender documentation including technical electrical specifications and drawings.
Development of tender stage designs optimised to Hanley Energy products.
Completion of pricing works and commercial model in line with company standards.
Engagement with supply chain partners to secure valid, competitive pricing.
Compile tender submissions including quotations, appendices, data sheets, and drawings in a structured, professional manner.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders (clients, engineering, production, logistics, commissioning, technical sales, marketing, accounts, sub-contractors, etc.).
Contribute to development and upkeep of controls solutions tender processes and templates.
Serve as customer point of contact and address queries or obtain missing information.
Communicate in a courteous, professional manner internally and externally.
Flexibility to undertake additional duties as requested by the Team Leader.
Complete annual and interim reviews, contribute to team goals and targets, and assist with line management tasks per company policy.
Stay up to date with new products and features.
Minimum requirements and skills
An electrical engineering background is essential with either an engineering degree or an electrical trade qualification (or equivalent experience).
Proven work experience in a tendering environment or related electrical product sales role.
Motivated, initiative-driven, and a strong team player; able to work independently as required.
Highly organised with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to meet customer deadlines and communicate effectively in writing and verbally; strong presentation skills.
Excellent computer skills with Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Hands-on experience with CRM software (Salesforce / SAP Business One preferable).
Strong work ethic, ability to work in a fast-paced department; flexible and able to manage multiple complex projects.
Full valid Irish work permit and proficiency in English.
Position may require psychometric testing.
