Analytical Scientist – Laboratory-Based Role | Animal Nutrition Industry | Southeast Ireland

Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct analytical testing of raw materials, premixes, supplements, and finished feed products in a timely and efficient manner.
* Carry out daily calibration, maintenance, and performance checks on laboratory equipment.
* Support the development, validation, and troubleshooting of analytical methods.
* Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in line with GLP standards.
* Analyze, interpret, and communicate laboratory data and results clearly.
* Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of laboratory documentation and SOPs.
* Contribute to ongoing research and development projects within the lab.
* Support the implementation and development of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
* Provide assistance in regulatory affairs, particularly concerning controlled substances.
* Recommend process and system improvements to enhance lab efficiency and accuracy.
What You’ll Need:
* BSc or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Forensic Science, or a related scientific discipline.
* Practical laboratory experience in a relevant analytical or quality control setting is desirable.
* Willingness and ability to gain hands-on experience with Mass Spectrometry and LCMS systems.
* Strong foundation in analytical techniques, particularly NIR and wet chemistry methods.
* Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with high attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented mindset.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
