Job Title: Offshore Wind Geotechnical Engineer/Site Investigator
This role involves providing geotechnical advice and leadership for complex technical issues related to offshore wind projects.
* Scope, procure and manage offshore geotechnical investigation contracts
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure surveys are planned and executed in accordance with legislative requirements
* In conjunction with 3rd party geophysical specialists, provide technical oversight to ensure Geophysical Surveys are scoped, procured and managed to achieve technical objectives and ground risk mitigation
* Develop Project Geotechnical Risk Registers and mitigation plans
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of geotechnical technologies for offshore windfarms
The successful candidate will have:
* A minimum of 7 years' experience in geotechnical engineering, especially marine-related work
* Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and best practices. Experience in the scoping, specification & management of off-shore geological investigations would be beneficial.
The position offers a competitive day rate from €700-€780 per day as well as working on site across Ireland & UK.
