This leadership role will oversee the operation and maintenance of 50–100MWe generation assets across Dublin region and surrounding counties. It drives performance, safety, and customer satisfaction across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities include leading a team of engineers, asset managers, and technicians across multiple sites; ensuring adequate staffing, resource planning, and upskilling of operations team; promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement; and resolving issues quickly and professionally, prioritising client satisfaction.
Additionally, this role will champion HSE excellence, conduct audits, and enforce safety procedures; track asset performance using KPIs and system data to identify issues and optimise uptime; lead root cause analysis of system faults and implement long-term solutions; provide regular operational and performance reports to senior leadership; develop and manage operational strategies aligned with service contracts; and introduce process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Requirements for this role include at least five years of experience in operations, technical services, or project delivery within energy, utilities, or industrial systems, with proven success managing regional/multi-site technical teams in a field-based environment. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, deep technical knowledge of power generation systems, budget management, resource planning, and project execution skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management, and proficiency in CMMS, SAP, or other field operations software.
A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field is required, with advanced qualifications (e.g., MSc, PMP, or energy management certifications) and industry certifications (e.g., CHP, gas engines, solar, or data centre systems) being desirable.
