Senior Financial Accountant (9-Month Contract)

Armont Recruitment have partnered with a globally recognised PLC based in Dublin. Whilst working remotely at present, they have a dynamic, fast paced working culture and a finance team that has significantly increased in size in recent years’ due to ambitious business growth plans and continued success.
They are now hiring an ambitious Senior Financial Accountant on a 9-month contract. The Senior Financial Accountant will have primary responsibility for reporting and compliance for both established and new entities within their expanding region, as well as lead direct reports with support from management. This role has been ear marked to progress quickly for the ambitious new hire.
This role will suit a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with circa 2-3 years’ PQE in a similar multinational environment.
The Role
Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and delivering clear insights during monthly and quarterly close cycles.
Coordinate the production of statutory accounts and act as a key contact during external audit processes.
Manage inventory-related accounting, including stock analysis, provisioning for obsolete items, and variance investigations.
Deliver detailed reporting packs to support group reporting timelines.
Partner with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and service providers to resolve finance-related matters.
Act as a point of contact for inventory queries and provide commercial finance support to operations.
Supervise and support the development of a junior team member.
Identify and implement enhancements to financial processes and controls.
Provide assistance on additional close activities and finance initiatives as needed.
The Candidate
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
Knowledge in financial reporting, ideally within an international or large-scale environment.
Demonstrated ability to guide or mentor junior colleagues.
Strong Excel capability and confidence working with financial systems.
Detail-focused with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Effective communicator with confidence engaging across different levels of the business.
The Rewards
Competitive salary in the range of €75,000 – €80,000, depending on experience
