Job Title: Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer
Overview of the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our team. As a senior member of our engineering department, you will play a key role in delivering complex projects across various sectors.
Main Responsibilities
* Project Management: Assess project requirements, undertake mechanical design, and lead junior staff to ensure successful project delivery.
* Collaboration with Engineering Disciplines: Work with other engineering disciplines to deliver projects that meet the needs of our clients.
* Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
* Design and Calculation Work: Utilize industry software to carry out design and calculation work for various projects.
* Techinical Leadership: Demonstrate technical expertise while coaching and mentoring junior team members.
* Programme Development and Monitoring: Develop and monitor programmes for scheduling and reporting on deliverables.
Areas of Expertise
* Mechanical Building Services Design: Provide expert mechanical building services design with experience in healthcare, education, industrial, pharmaceutical, food processing, transportation, water/wastewater, steam/condensate, low-pressure hot water, chilled water, domestic hot/cold water systems, public health systems, vacuum systems, fuel oil systems, process/plant water, reverse osmosis, medical gases, natural ventilation, HVAC systems, BMS, SCADA, instrumentation, control, and automation.
* Services Coordination and Integration: Coordinate and integrate plant and equipment in buildings and underground services.
* BIM, AutoCAD, and Revit: Utilize BIM, AutoCAD, and Revit software to create detailed designs and models.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Engineering Discipline: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
* Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical building services design and project management.
* Software Proficiency: Proficient in BIM, AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry software.
* Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide junior staff.
* Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
