The role
Lawler Consulting is a successful multi‑disciplinary engineering business headquartered in Kilkenny, with offices in Dublin and London, serving clients across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Our CIBSE award‑winning practice has completed in excess of 4,500 commissions, enabling us to provide highly experienced in‑house services. We prioritize staff learning and development during a rapid growth phase and are seeking professional, enthusiastic engineers to join our team.
The Role
Take projects from design stage and manage them to successful delivery on time and on budget.
Work with clients and the design team to develop the project brief.
Develop close relationships with clients and design team members.
Simultaneously manage multiple on‑site projects with support from the design department.
Conduct site surveys and relay information back to the design office.
Issue weekly reports to the design team and monthly cost reports to client and design team.
Witness commissioning of HVAC, electrical and life‑safety systems.
Snag installation on completion.
Required
Holder of a third‑level diploma/degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or a trade background such as HVAC or plumbing.
Experience in client, project team and contractor interaction.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, CIBSE Design Guides, British Standards and Health & Safety Regulations.
Full Clean Driver’s Licence – Irish or European (essential).

Capacity to lead projects from inception to completion, managing budgets, attending design meetings, on‑site inspections and liaising with project teams.
Enthusiastic about training on electrical aspects of the role.
Experience with IES, LEED and BREEAM projects is an advantage.
Ability to manage contracts within timelines and budgets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong customer focus and consistent communication with stakeholders.
Effective communication in both independent and team environments.
