Technician, Process

What you will do:
* This position's primary function is to ensure that manufacturing processes run consistently and meet performance targets.
* Actively interface with cross-functional team members and third-party vendors, practicing good teamwork in support of daily operations.
* Monitor and manage production yield performance on assigned lines.
* Liaise with Team Leaders regarding productivity and efficiency issues on your lines.
* Engage in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting, and resolve hardware/software interfacing problems on the production floor.
* Diagnose malfunctioning systems to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustments or repairs.
* Communicate regularly with operators about issues, concerns, and watch-outs on the lines.
* Test electrical systems, circuits, and wiring in processing equipment and fixtures.
* Plan, layout, and install processing equipment at workstations.
* Ensure product line performance by maximizing equipment productivity and minimizing yield loss.
* Coordinate preventative maintenance and calibration activities on assigned lines/processes.
* Identify and assist in implementing technical improvements.
* Identify process equipment spares requirements, source, and replenish spares according to company policies.
* Perform equipment qualification and project work as assigned.
* Design, specify, fabricate, test, and document process equipment changes and improvements.
* Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, and communicate any concerns regarding environmental impact, health, or safety issues.
* Maintain quality compliance in all work aspects, following site and corporate Quality Management System standards.
* Provide out-of-hours support as required, especially during shutdowns or equipment failures.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
* Certificate/Diploma in Engineering, Science, or related discipline, or hold a trade qualification in electrical, mechanical, or toolmaking, or have 2 years technician experience in manufacturing.
* Good knowledge of electronics and software control systems.
* Entry-level experience in a modern manufacturing environment, with familiarity in:
* Low/medium voltage electrical power systems, pneumatics, PLCs, instrumentation, hydraulics, calibration, AutoCAD, injection molding.
* Experience in the medical device industry is advantageous.
* Understanding of operations and their impacts is essential.
* High PC skills required.
* Flexibility and adaptability are essential.
* Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
* Self-starter with efficient work methods, analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Green or Black Belt Six Sigma qualifications are a plus.
* Good problem solver with analytical skills.
* Excellent customer service skills and good interpersonal communication.
