We value passion, motivation, and problem-solving skills, and we believe that diverse perspectives fuel better outcomes.We're not here to keep up—we're here to lead.About the Role:As an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting the HSE & Sustainability Departments in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, promoting sustainability initiatives, and identifying areas for improvement within H&MV Engineering's operations. Working alongside experienced environmental & sustainability professionals, you will gain valuable skills and knowledge within the field, contributing to the company's overall sustainability goals.Key Responsibilities:Support the development and implementation of environmental policies, strategies, and initiatives within various areas of the company.Conduct regular internal environmental audits to identify compliance gaps and recommend appropriate corrective actions.Create environmental compliance documentation for projects including construction environmental management plans, Waste Management plans, environmental aspects impacts and mitigation assessment, necessary environmental testing and ecological surveys.Support, promote and execute ESG objectives on our sites especially focusing on environmental stewardship, biodiversity & the circular economy.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental controls and recommend improvements where necessary.Support the creation and delivery of environmental and sustainability training programs to raise awareness among staff members and contractors.Stay updated with relevant environmental legislation, industry best practices, and emerging trends to provide timely advice and guidance to the company.Assist in the preparation of environmental performance reports, including tracking and reporting on key environmental & sustainability performance indicators.Contribute to the execution of H&MV Engineering's ESG objectives and targets.Key Requirements:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in environmental management, sustainability, or related field.Knowledge of construction related environmental & sustainability issues in the region and associated legal requirements.5 to 6 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record with environmental management on site and environmental and sustainability regulations.Skills & Competencies:Proven interest in environmental & sustainability issues and a desire to develop a career within the sustainability industry.Knowledge of environmental legislation and environmental management systems (e.g. ISO Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams across multiple regions.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret and analyse environmental data.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach.Full clean driving licence.H&MV Engineering is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWe value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.Ready to energise your career?Join our inclusive team and help build a brighter, more sustainable future—one project at a time.
