Job Overview
The Block Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the upkeep, maintenance and safety of the Comer Group Ireland facilities and estates. The successful candidate will work closely with the Estate Managers, Residential Manager, Maintenance team leads and technicians to ensure best practice in our standards and the smooth, efficient management of all project work.
Responsibilities
* Reviewing the functioning systems on sites, ensuring all systems meet required standards.
* Inspecting workmanship standards and providing support as needed.
* Planning projects for preventative maintenance teams.
* Conducting regular inspections of buildings to identify potential needs.
* Ensuring safety compliance is adhered to.
* Performing maintenance inspections and checks on building systems to ensure proper functioning.
* Responding to emergency maintenance requests and addressing urgent issues promptly.
* Finding solutions to maintenance issues and scheduling the appropriate experts when required.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a maintenance role in residential and commercial units.
* Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, plus tool proficiency.
* Problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Clear communicator who works well both independently and as part of a team.
