Role Description
This is a full-time on-site / field based role for a Business Development Executive, based in the Greater Dublin Area. The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating leads, and building strong partnerships with clients. The Business Development Executive will manage accounts, maintain client relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals. Responsibilities also include driving long-term growth for partner brands in alignment with Hosons Brands' mission.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Identify, target and win new business across independent, specialty retail, convenience channels
Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective accounts
Conduct outbound prospecting including phone outreach, email and in-person visits
Secure new listings and distribution opportunities for the Hosons portfolio
Develop relationships with store owners, buyers, managers and decision-makers
Support new product launches and market expansion initiatives
Account Growth & Execution
Support growth within existing customer accounts
Ensure strong in-store execution, visibility and product placement
Monitor stock levels, availability and promotional activity
Gather market feedback and competitor intelligence
Identify opportunities to increase rate of sale and product penetration
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting
Track pipeline progress and account activity
Support commercial planning and sales analysis
Provide regular market insights and customer feedback to the wider team
The Ideal Candidate
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Highly motivated, proactive and commercially driven
Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
Organised with strong time management skills
Full clean driving licence
Positive, energetic and entrepreneurial mindset
The Perfect Candidate
FMCG, drinks, foodservice or retail experience
Experience in sales, hospitality or customer-facing commercial roles
Understanding of the Irish retail or foodservice landscape
Experience using CRM systems
