Role Overview
As a Chargehand, you will support the Foreman in overseeing the installation and testing of Cat6, Cat6A, and Fibre Optic cabling across a variety of operational settings. You will assist in guiding your team to ensure that all work is completed safely, to a high standard, and in line with project schedules and budget expectations. Key Responsibilities
* Support the Foreman with overseeing the day-to-day work of Technicians on the site to ensure a high standard of installation.
* Interpret technical drawings and method statements to plan and execute the team's work effectively
* Ensure the team is in full compliance with Health and Safety standards and all site protocols
* Provide On-the-Job training for Technicians as required
* Provide hands on support for the installation and testing of structured cabling when needed
* Monitor all activity under your care and escalate any out-of-scope activity to Management
Essential Requirements
* Experience in a Chargehand/Team Lead role on structured cabling projects, including large scale Cat6, Cat6A, and/or fibre installations
* Must have a current Safe Pass or be willing to get one before commencing employment
* Full driving license, access to your own transport and be willing to travel to multiple sites
* Certification in Working at Heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP) or Hoist Operator training are an advantage but not essential
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead your team and provide training when required
