We are presently recruiting for HGV Drivers for our clients in Killarney, County Kerry. As a HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods both locally and nationally, ensuring compliance with all regulations while maintaining high service standards. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and upholding the company's reputation on the road.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely operate HGV vehicles in compliance with road safety regulations.
2. Transport goods efficiently between designated locations.
3. Carry out vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness before journeys.
4. Maintain accurate records, including delivery notes and logbooks.
5. Adhere to company policies and industry regulations, including driver hours and tachograph requirements.
6. Load and unload cargo when necessary, ensuring correct handling of goods.
7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to ensure smooth deliveries.
8. Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers.
Requirements:
9. Full Clean HGV Licence essential.
10. Proven experience as an HGV driver (preferred but not essential for newly qualified drivers).
11. Strong understanding of road transport regulations and safety protocols.
12. Good communication and time management skills.
13. A professional and customer-focused attitude.
