Job Description:
The Embedded SW Engineer in Industrial Ethernet is responsible for developing software solutions, embedded device drivers, and reference designs interfacing Industrial Ethernet products with various embedded processors. As part of a cross-functional team, the Embedded SW Development Engineer performs software definition, development, implementation, and documentation of modules and reference designs, supporting testing, bring-up, and debugging.
Responsibilities include:
* Create and maintain device drivers and software projects for embedded systems, processors, and microcontroller-based platforms.
* Implement and verify Industrial Ethernet protocols and applications.
* Collaborate with the Applications Team to develop new platforms.
Essential Skills and Competencies:
* BSc/MSc in Electronic Engineering or Software Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in embedded software.
* Proficiency in software development languages such as C, C++, Python, or shell scripting.
* Experience with embedded Linux systems is a plus.
* Knowledge of electronics and embedded systems.
* Strong understanding of embedded software design and processor architectures.
* Experience with development tools and best practices for embedded software.
* Ability to work independently and in teams to develop innovative solutions.
