Role Duties
* Prepare and cook a wide variety of pizzas, including dough stretching, sauce preparation, and topping assembly.
* Operate wood-fired, gas, or electric pizza ovens as required.
* Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of pizzas.
* Maintain a clean and organised pizza station in accordance with HACCP and food safety regulations.
* Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.
* Assist in training junior staff or kitchen assistants if needed.
* Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
* Contribute to the development of new pizza recipes or seasonal specials.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a pizza chef, pizzaiolo, or similar role.
* Good knowledge of pizza dough preparation, fermentation, and oven management.
* Familiarity with traditional Italian pizza styles (e.g., Neapolitan, Roman) is a plus.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume kitchen.
* Team player with good communication skills.
* Fluent English (additional languages beneficial).
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* This Pizza Chef will ideally have experience with different oven setups.
