In this Manufacturing Engineering role, you will provide engineering technical knowledge to resolve production issues and implement changes in a Medical Device Manufacturing Facility to support the site's continuous improvement journey. This includes providing technical leadership on cleaning, sealing, and packaging medical devices, working with the team to meet cell efficiency and monthly targets, improve reliability, reduce scrap, and validate new machinery and equipment.This role is ideal for an innovative problem solver with a positive attitude who enjoys a fast-paced working environment.Key Areas of ResponsibilityEnsure quality of process and product as defined in appropriate OS and material specifications.Ensure GMPs and system safety.Support capital acquisition activities, including specifying equipment, contract negotiation, installation, and validation.Provide training for manufacturing team members.Interface with Materials Science, Design, and Quality Assurance departments to deliver quality products in a timely manner.Validate and support machining and raw material suppliers, e.g., packaging components.Communicate and participate in system and process troubleshooting with support teams and external agents.Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross-divisional process improvement initiatives.Support new product and process introduction, ensuring all activities are completed and documented per Stryker New Product Development Process.Conduct process validation, including VP, IQ, OQ, PQ, and documentation.Perform Gauge R&R studies for products and processes.Carry out structured problem solving.Apply and develop statistical tools for continuous improvement projects.Perform other duties as assigned.Key RequirementsLevel 8 Degree in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Understanding of operations and manufacturing principles.High proficiency in PC skills.Flexibility and adaptability.Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.Self-starter with efficient work methods, analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Enjoy working in a dynamic, results-oriented team environment.Knowledge of FDA requirements.Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.Ability to work effectively cross-functionally with teams like Advanced Operations and Quality.Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies, committed to making healthcare better.
