Title:Underwriting Operations AnalystReporting to: Head of Underwriting OperationsLocation:Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2Contract: PermanentWorking Model:Hybrid Working Model (two days in the office, three days working remotely in Ireland on a weekly basis. Flexibility to work additional days in the office will be required depending on business demands).Kindly note we do not offer visas or sponsorship for this role. We have maintained this purpose by attracting the very best talent to meet the evolving needs of our Members and customers.About the Role:The Underwriting Operations Analyst will play a key role within the Underwriting Operations team, supporting the delivery of the underwriting strategy through operational, analytical, and administrative excellence. This role combines process improvement, reporting, and system support to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making across Underwriting, Reinsurance and I.T. This role will directly Contributing to the success of the underwriting strategy by streamlining operations, enhancing controls, and providing insights that enable better business decisions.Fitness & Probity and Conduct StandardsIPB Insurance is a financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. As such, this role is regulated and subject to the Fitness and Probity Standards as set out by the Central Bank. These standards require that individuals performing Controlled Functions (CFs) are competent, capable, honest, ethical, and act with integrity. In addition, the role is subject to the Conduct Standards introduced under the Central Bank (Individual Accountability Framework) Act 2023, which apply throughout the course of employment. Accordingly, this role will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures, and there will be an ongoing requirement for the role holder to maintain both fit and proper status and adherence to the Conduct Standards throughout their employment.To be successful in the role you will be accountable for:Supporting the documentation and enhancement of underwriting processes and systems, working with I.T. to ensure business requirements are clearly defined and effectively implemented.Designing, producing, and maintaining operational reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights that inform decision-making and drive efficiency.Delivering ad hoc analysis, projects, and operational support to Underwriting and Reinsurance teams, helping to streamline processes and address emerging business needs.Maintaining and enhancing underwriting documentation, policies, and schedules, ensuring all materials are accurate and consistent with business standards.Distributing surveys, maintaining activity logs, and producing related outputs such as reports and training materials to support operational oversight.What we're looking for:Relevant professional or third-level qualification with at least 2 years' experience in an insurance environment.Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and underwriting systems.Clear communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.Attention to detail, adaptability, and problem-solving skills to support process improvements and ad hoc projects.What you'll get:Exposure to a wide range of underwriting processes and projects.Opportunities to collaborate across Underwriting, I.T., and Reinsurance teams.A supportive environment in a respected insurance company that values professional development.Experience contributing to meaningful improvements in operational efficiency and controls.We offer you a culture that is underpinned and supported by our values and behaviours of 'Passionate', 'Service Driven', 'Respectful', 'Trustworthy' and 'Collaborative'.
