Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Process Optimization Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for improving the manufacturing process and developing the most efficient moulding process and tooling to meet or exceed customer requirements.
The successful candidate will provide technical resources to ensure that current and future projects are run in accordance with customer specifications and in-house specifications and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Introduce new products into the company and compile standard specifications for each process.
* Monitor existing production to standard specifications.
* Ensure process optimisation using statistical techniques.
* Work with production group leaders (PGLs) in troubleshooting processing problems.
* Establish relationships with customers and equipment/raw material suppliers in pursuit of continuous improvement and ongoing business development.
Requirements:
* National Diploma in Plastics Engineering (preferably a Degree in Engineering).
* At least 4-5 years experience in the injection moulding industry.
* Good knowledge of injection mould tooling and design.
* Knowledge of real-time monitoring systems.
* Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of experiments (DOE).
* WCM, JIT, SMED, and Kaizen principles.
