Financial Analyst Trainee
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience, receive structured training, and develop a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies.
* Support the delivery of auditing and assurance services.
* Prepare and submit tax returns across multiple tax categories (VAT, PAYE, RCT, Income Tax, and Corporation Tax).
* Assist with company secretarial duties, including CRO filings.
* Engage in client consultations and provide support in meetings.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
* Gain experience in specialized areas such as tax planning, R&D tax credits, forensic accounting, pension audits, and corporate finance.
* Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Work closely with senior accountants and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
* Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative.
* Strong IT proficiency, including familiarity with accounting software.
* Previous experience in an accounting practice or finance-related role (advantageous but not essential).
* Ambitious and committed to obtaining professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA).
