Are you living in Ireland, specifically in Limerick, North Kerry, or the surrounding areas? Due to continued expansion, we are growing our team. The role of the field engineer position is to install, maintain, service, and repair RVM Systems reverse vending machine installations within Ireland. Located in retail stores throughout the country, these allow customers to return their beverage cans and bottles.
RVM Systems is a global supplier of Reverse Vending Machines. We are currently the leading supplier in the Irish market, holding a significant market share. Due to our ongoing expansion, we are looking to grow our team of service engineers. It’s an exciting time to join a fantastic team!
The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver responsive to customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular servicing and maintenance of recycling equipment.
2. Attend breakdowns and complete timely, professional repairs on-site.
3. Install, decommission, and provide training on equipment for safe usage.
4. Produce risk assessments, and method statements, and maintain compliance records.
5. Submit accurate work reports via the provided electronic device.
6. Maintain safety standards and complete regular housekeeping records.
7. Complete on-site system audits and evaluations.
Key Skills and Experience requirements:
1. Previous Field Service Engineer experience is preferred
2. Good knowledge of mechanical and electronic processes required
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills
4. 5+ years installing and maintaining machines
5. Expertise in mechanical, electrical, vending systems or ePOS network setup advantageous
6. Proficient in email and online platforms; capable of completing online inductions.
7. Full, clean Irish driving licence.
Working Hours:
1. Monday to Friday
2. Weekend availability is required (Rotational on-call duty every 5th-6th weekend)
3. Flexible working arrangements are available
4. Fully equipped company van
5. Employees are provided with work phones, laptops, tools and workwear
6. Fuel card will be provided
Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
2. Electrical experience (preferred)
3. Mechanical experience (preferred).
4. Applicants should ideally be located within the geographical region advertised.
